Welcome to the Toolkit for Improving Skin Care and MDRO Prevention in Long-Term Care, developed in the ÂÜÀòÊÓÆµSafety Program for MRSA Prevention. Effective infection prevention interventions in long-term care facilities should consider the resident population and the environment, which is unique because residents live in the same facility in which they receive care. Proper skin care and strategies to reduce the spread of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) are high-yield focus areas. This toolkit is designed to equip healthcare professionals and direct-care staff with the essential knowledge, resources, and tools to tackle the complex problems of infection prevention in the long-term care setting.
